What is saint adjutor?

Saint Adjutor, also known as Saint Ayoul or Saint Ay, was a 7th-century Christian saint. He was born in Vernon, France, and was a soldier in the French army during the reign of King Louis the Pious. In one battle, he saved the life of his commander, who was about to be captured by the enemy.

After this incident, Adjutor left the army and became a hermit. He spent the rest of his life living in a cave near the Seine River in France, where he devoted himself to prayer and contemplation. He became known for his miracles, including healing the sick and bringing rain to areas suffering from drought.

After his death, Saint Adjutor was venerated as a saint, and his cave became a popular destination for pilgrims. His feast day is celebrated on May 30th. Saint Adjutor is the patron saint of drowning victims, boaters, and travelers.
